Eastern Division Director - Gerit Lewisch is running for the position of Eastern Division Director. The election will be held at the Division Spring
Officers Meeting, April 25, 2010 in Albany, NY. Eastern PA Region Ski Patrol - The Following Positions are open for election within the Eastern Region Ski Patrol:

Election ProcessThe election of the Division Director is to take place at the Spring Officers Meeting 2010. The Eastern Division Director is elected by the Board of Directors (The fifteen Regional Directors and the Division Director in case of a tie). E.D. Bylaws Article 6.1
Eligibility Requirement for Division Director

Division Director DutiesThe Division Director shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and shall have responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the organization. The Division Director shall perform all duties described in the published regulations of NSP and all other duties incident of such office and such other duties as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Board of Directors. The Division Director shall propose members of the standing committees of the Board for each calendar year subject to ratification by the Board of Directors.
The Division Director shall be responsible for overseeing the following non-inclusive duties:
A. Follow the objectives of the Board of Directors; B. Make regular contact with the Board of Directors; C. Report decisions made to the Board of Directors; D. Manage support services such as Awards, Memorial Fund, Web Site, and so forth; E. Act as liaison with the National office; F. Act as liaison with Program Supervisors; G. Distribution of the Division calendar of events; H. Appoint Special Committees; and, I. Distribution of the proposed Annual Budget and any proposed By-law amendments at least ten days prior to the Annual Meeting. J. Ensure that New York State, Department of State Division of Corporations contact information is kept current with the new Division Director’s Name.

FALL 2009 Election Results are in Gerit Lewisch has been re-elected as EPA Region Director by a Majority vote. The election committee would like to thank all of the patrollers in participating. I would like to thank my election staffers for their assistants in fulfilling the election process.

Elections will be held at the EPA refreshers and tallied at the last refresher. Elections results will be announced shortly thereafter.
EASTERN DIVISION DIRECTOR 2009 - Click Here for Info REGION DIRECTOR ELECTION FALL 2009 This fall active members of Eastern Pennsylvania Region will be electing our Region Director for a two-year term beginning April 1, 2010. The balloting will be at the fall refreshers beginning at the first refresher at Ski Round top on September 27, 2009, and continuing through the final refresher at Spring Mountain on November 14, 2009. All active members with primary registration in the EPA region are eligible. Alumni, Medical Associates, Candidates, and Professional Division Members are excluded from voting. Voting will be by secret ballot with the results known after the last refresher. Absentee balloting will be allowed by contacting the Election Chairperson. Voting for write-in candidates will be allowed, but information must be supplied on the ballot so the Election Committee can contact the person for the necessary approval. The requirements for Region Director are: Active registered patroller in the region Minimum five seasons patrolling experience Have achieved Senior Alpine, Senior Nordic, or Certified status. Auxiliary patrollers are qualified if they have met the requirements sometime in their patrol career. Nominations for Region Director will be accepted beginning July 27, 2009 and closed August 27, 2009. Nominations may be submitted by any active member or by the member themselves. A candidate must submit their acceptance accompanied by their written resume, platform and picture. The resumes, platforms and picture may be viewed on the EPA web site and at the refreshers.
